Default Stripped block, head bolt wont tighten.

Ok so i was torquing my head town and i got to the last bolt and it was getting tight then it went loose. I pulled it out and there were metal shavings on the stud. Anyone wanna help? I have taken the head off several times and im sick of doing it. I just want my car running again.

Honestly. its kinda Ghetto.. But go get a Cavalier head bolt and thread it down there. its a tad bigger then the Honda ones. I have personally done it on a single slam to get it running again.

Did you re-use the old head bolts? Like it was said you need a timesert...

Either re-tap the hole for a bigger bolt or Helicoil it. Up to you. Both will work.

How would you be sure you are drilling straight with motor in car on a slight angle when going the Helicoil route? It would be different if block was out of car and sitting on the Bridgeport. The guide plate and drill center on the Timesert make sure the bolt is straight in relationship to the block and other bolts. The fastener itself is also of a better design.
If you doubt the Timesert, just call Honda/Acura, Golden Eagle,Darton and ask them how THEY repair this problem....or just know I already did.
