It was well worth the adrenaline pumping 130 mile ride in the rain on treadless race tires this morning and standing outside in the cold and wind.
Six runs is always nice and despite the sad condition of the porshe I got yet another ASP trophy. They ended up bumping nearly every other Street Prepared car into ASP so it was also nice to have some additional competition in my class.
Oh yeah, lets also not forget almost 300 miles of averaging between 80 and 90 MPH without a ticket.
My thanks to the GIR caravan since there is strength in numbers.

wish I could have gone, looks like I'm fucked out of another season, cuz it's going to take forever to get the body work done.

I was so skeered I was going to get another ticket on the way home but like you said strenght in numbers is a good thing. You do have to admit that a 930, Cobra and a WRX does a really good job at standing out while hauling butt down I75 in a pack. :o The entire event was a blast despite the weather being a bit harsh but the car seemed pretty happy with the nice cold and dense air.
I hands down had a blast all day, thanks guys! :)
On the down side of things I noticed a leak of some sort on the way home when pulling hard under full boost in 4th gear and again this morning in lower gears. It has to be either boost(intercooler w/ my ghetto homemade gasket) or exhaust(dreaded uppipe->manifold). I guess I know what i'll be working on next weekend. :x

With some small exceptions I did my best to keep it under 100 MPH.
Hope you find your leak.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure its about 3300 RPM in 4th. :D
And not only did I not bring the camera since my wife called dibs on it last weekend, but there were no sheets to photograph anyway.
I guess we will have to wait a couple of weeks till Frank posts the data so we can compare how we did.
I think my best clean time was 59.1. I think my best time was 56.9 but I barely snagged a cone or two in the process.
