Thursday Test and Tune at BMP. Got to the track with almost a half a tank of 93 octane. Let the car cool. Made a pass. 12.8 @ 115. Car bogged badly and then was cutting out at high RPM. Let car cool off. Tried again. 12.9 @ 117. This is getting frustrating. Car missed some but not as bad. Got to the pits. Passed my parking spot. Went to the pumps and put 2 gallons of 100 unleaded in the car on top of the 1/3rd tank of 93. Went and parked to cool off the car. Got pissed. Gave up on cooling and went to run the car. Got out of the hole good and made a good feeling pass. Told myself it was a good pass on the return road. .

Seems that if I bog the car badly on the launch, it gets loaded up and runs like shit the rest of the pass. I hadn't changed a setting until I got back to the pits after this pass. Let the car cool. Leaned out 2% on the VPC Gain. Made another pass.

Cool! Backed it up.
1st two 12 sec passes, boost was creeping badly to about 1.8 bar over 7000 rpm. Two 11 second passes, boost only crept from 1.4 up to 1.5 bar over 7000rpm. So, I leaned another 2% and attempted to up the boost about a pound.

Sweet! Boost went up about a half a pound but only in 4th over 7000 rpm. Funny how the creep was gone when I got out of the hole properly. Had to be loading up when I bogged it and causing all kinds of issues.
By now the staging lanes were rediculous. I see what it will do Sunday.

Thanks Unc, I appreciate it.
It's cool to finally have it running after all the "Talking" about it. I like to not be one of those "Talkers". ;)

Good stuff man !
I am sure you busted your ass as usual when re-building the car.
Can't wait to see it go Sunday, hopefully our lanes do not get as crazy. They did not on the last Track Day but we also had a e.t. requirement too so who knows.
See you Sunday.

Thanks Scott. I had a lot of help from the local DSMrs. They kept me motivated and lent an extra hand. It was a lot of work.
I plan to inch up the wick throughout the day on Sunday. I have no predoctions. We will just have to see.
It will be nice to be able to run whenever I want.

Awesome times, Joe. Lotsa work in that I know. We'd probably be a pretty good race. Dirtmobile is down right now but I'm gonna try to revive it tonight. Not a total cure but maybe it can represent this weekend. We'll se.

Dyno'd tonight same tune as last night.
403HP 330TQ
Alittle tuning, a little more boost on the 93/100 octane mix.
447HP 380TQ
Looking to make the times a little better Sunday.
If I told you how much boost, you'd laugh, but it's less than I have run in the past on my old stock motor with 112 octane gas.

Holy shit Batman ! :o
You know you will now be the token domestic slayer on the board that all the slower import cars will use as their trump card when the domestic vs. import feud starts again.
Anyway good job Joe and make sure you stay the fuck away from me on Sunday, alright ! :D

Blah... I don't want to be "that import guy". I'm SO happy with the results though. Just hope I can keep my old sore tranny together for a few weeks. :|

This is my 1st pull over my 5th and final pull. Made the 447/380 on the 4th pull but the graph was screwed up because of interference or something. Made less power on this pull because we did it hot.

It makes it full time 4WD unless you drop the T-case. Then it is FWD. To make it RWD you would have to remove the front axles.

Yup.
p.s. you can't dyno a 400+HP car in 3rd gear.

Hey joe, congrats on the pulls and congrats on the runs. Although I am not able to make it to track day just think of a.d.d boy helping you push the gunmetal beast up to the lines!!
