Most of you have been, but I just have to say that it is the best Auto-X venue I've seen yet. It was a lot of fun and felt pretty close to a lapping session. Someone in the Tampa area needs to get their shit together (or hit the lottery) and build something similar. Those of you that have run it several times are lucky. I won't miss another at GIR.

Thanks to the guy in the Altima SE for filling me in on this site...looks like it could be usefull.

Whoever was in the silver Protege sedan...WOW. You made a few near perfect runs and were very impressive.

GIR is a kick ass course.

The guys from Primus racing are building a course off of 41 in Palmetto. It will be a little longer than the GIR course. It should be open any time now.

I agree, a very kick ass course.

I will certainly be attending any time I can despite the 2 hour drive.

2 hours??? It didn't take that long to get home.

The interstate portion is only about 1.5 hours, but getting from the interstate to the course is almost another half an hour.

I had a blast out there except for one misshap/breakage that put a damper on the afternoon, but with a little import mullet we got it straightened out to get the car back to Tampa, just glad it wasn't my car, I wouldn't have been able to afford the parts to repair it.

Not sleeping at all last night was a bad idea, I'm almost posative I fell asleep for a bit in a chair at Chris' place before I made the last bit of the trip back to my place (didn't fall asleep while driving, but did catch a couple cat naps at red lights)

Oversteer...Todd right? Glad you found your way to TR.
I loved the course layout! Kudos to the designer. This was my second time out at GIR, It was a great event. I too, only wish it were closer to Tampa. UHG!
I was a bit disappointed with my run times, but then again I always am. I had a blast nonetheless!

Ya....I'm feeling the hurt.
Well I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who came over and offered help or tools. I appreciate it although it was a little odd changing out the damn axle with a crowd around.

As for the track, it's a damn fine spot for auto-x. What made the day even sweeter was the six runs everyone (but me  ) got ....PLUS fun-runs. Damn, what an auto-x.

the silver protege sedan was Jason Minehart... he's a bad ass driver in a well prepared STOCK car. (Konis, light rims, catback, and HOOOOsiers)

Give your props on Course Design to PseudoRealityX (Jesse) for Saturday (though the lane into the finish was a collective effort). And I made Sunday's course.

I am VERY glad everyone had so much fun. That was our goal. See us in November for cooler weather and courses that are JUST as good.
