I was just wondering if any of you all could recommend a good place to have R tires mounted upon my factory integra wheels.

I have a set of R1s just itching to be tried out this weekend at palm bay :D

I too would like to find a place that can mount tires without screwing up my wheels. I know there are machines that have practically nothing touching the wheel with the exception of a few plastic bits...who has this kind of equipment?

im not too worried about the wheels.. the wheels are already scratched and scuffed up... :D

You can go to your local tirekingdom type of place. They'll look at you really funny, and you'll have to explain that they aren't SUPPOSED to have tread, but they'll do it. (fucktards that they are). Their tire guy probably won't be too happy with you after the fact because they're a bitch to mount (stiff sidewalls), but hey... they get paid for doing it, so.... :)

Actually, they had a progressive sidewall that gave you controlled flex. :) It's a shame that BFG doesn't make them anymore... they nearly have a cult following....

Yeah, those BFG R1s sidewalls are stiff as hell.

I can feel every bump and undulation in the road when I'm running my auto-x tires that would normally be unnoticeable with my toyo street tires.

ok correction.. one sidewall is stiffer than the other. the R1s have a stiffer inner sidewall than outer (as well as an asymmetric sidewall height) to give it a quasi-negative-camber.

i got the R1s for not-much-money as a hold-me-over until anna & i can get some new R tires for the nissan. when the R1s are gone, the integra will be retired from autocross to start working on preparing the CRX.
