those are pretty rare. I look for them every time i go yarding. I once saw a daytona v6 5-spd, but the trans was gone.

I think what he is looking for is the A-543. Your best bet is too look for V6 P-bodies, Shadows and Sundances equipped with the 3.0L. Also if you see a Shadow or Sundance looking car but its badged a Duster than it should have a 3.0L

I think you are talking about the motion damper. Its goes from the crossmember to the back of the trans by the dif housing, its not really another motor mount, its a motion damper to keep the engine rocking back and forth too much and wearing the mounts out to prematurely in the manual cars. It looks like a little air cylinder or shock usually.

ok. the 3000gt's tranny is on the passengers side. so i was wondering if the stealths tranny was on the same side as the 3000gt or is it on the driver side. i thought of this because the neon and the eclipse share the same motor, but, the eclipse's tranny is on the passenger side and the neon's tranny is on the driver's side, right? or am i wrong because i haven't really looked under the hood of a neon in awhile. but if the stealths tranny is on the driver side, will the bolt pattern on th bell housing line up?

The Stealth/3000gt thing is a different situation. They all have the trans mounted on the passenger side (true for SOHC, DOHC, and DOHC TT models). This trans will not bolt into the car.

Your best bet still is to find a Duster, Shadow, or Sundance equipped with a A543 5spd trans. These should be the easiest cars to find a 3.0L and a 5spd in.

thanks for the info. i found out last night when i was hanging out at gandy that the trans in the stealth were on the passenger side. funny thing was that it had the stealth R/T badge on it and it was fwd non-twin turbo, aren't they the same as the VR4? also i heard that you might be able to swap the stealth manifold and maybe the heads onto the 3.0l block in the acclaims, spirits, etc. i was told that the manifold is probaly a weekend bolt on

There are more than a few models and engines for the Stealth/3000gt. All were 3.0L but there was a SOHC, DOHC, and DOHC TT. R/T doesn't necesarily mean DOHC TT engine. R/T AWD has the DOHC TT and is what you could compare to a 3000gt VR4.

Couldn't tell you much about head and intake swaps. You'd really have to have a set of both parts to compare to your stockers.

Here is a website of someone I know that was building up his 3.0L Duster, until he sold it, but his website contains alot of good info
