I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the Profec A and what your opinions on it are?
I can get one pretty cheap but wanted to know how hard/easy it is to install and get to do what I want it to do.

I got the Profec A for $250 with the manual and all the hoses and chit.
As far as the set up goes, its pretty straight forward? Hopefully I'll have it before NOPI so I don't have to be running any boost while driving down the interstate. I'm still up in the air if I'm going to install my injectors before or after....I don't want to be burning a ton of fuel without the help of an adjustable fpr or afc.

Agreed, I hear _nothing_ but bad things about them. Sell it on ebay at a losss, and get a Profec B.
After my car's back together, I need to get one.

There is really little to it as long you carefully follow the instructions and properly mount the controller and route and secure the wiring and tubing.
Oh yeah, you would not want to forget to properly clamp your tubing too so you don't blow a line and overboost your system.
If you think any of this is beyond you leave it to the pros.
As you can see from the picture below, I will have my hands full with such work and them some once I start work on my mods for the porsche.

Do not own a boost controller that has Fuzzy Logic. It's just that, FUzzy. Get the Profec B, Tried & Trued.
I was debating on the Profec B or A cause i could get a real good deal on the A, but just like everybody else is saying now thats what they were telling me just get the B

I have a profec A and i think its great. ive used it for about a year and it works great. my boost is always where i want it to be and is easy as hell to use and understand. as for people judging fuzzy logic, whatever. I get my boost that i want and it dosent change. I dont know about the B but my A has saved the motor once, I had a nasty boost spike when going down the track and it cut it right there and didnt let that happen again. I checked my car out and reset the profec's alarm and off i went.

Aight, no more profec a. What is a good place (besides ebay) to get the profec b? I'll check group buy center to see if somethings up.
