Friday night after I get off of work, I'm going to be taking the SCCA truck down to the Fairgrounds for the weekends events. I need a ride back home after though....

If any of you has an hour or so to spare friday around 6 or 7pm, I'd really appreciate it.....

I may be able to help you out.
Let me know the specifics.

Essentially, I need someone to meet me at my house. From there, we can drive up to where the truck is stored in Frank Edward's back yard (in Wesley Chapel). Then we go to FSF (with me driving the truck) and you take me home. :)

I'm not worried about doing setup. The biggie is just getting the truck down there. :)

ok, let me drive your car down there following you in the truck. Trust me you don't really want to ride in my truck on the way back from FSF.

Trust me... your truck will be a treat after the FSF truck.....

Let me rephrase my earlier post, I don't want to drive my truck all the way out to your place then up to Frank's then down to FSF, then back to yours, on a 5 gal gas can. It may be entertaining to you but it's a bit heavy on my wallet.

I'd be glad to drive over to your place and drive the CFR truck if you want and you can follow in your car, but I don't want to do all that in my truck.

and if that doesn't work out, let me know....I don't mind taking the SE-R on an extended trip(thats what gas cards are for!!!). My Shawn works until midnight so I won't be doing anything at all.....besides staring blankly at my computer or maybe SpeedChannel(as long as it isn't Nascar)

Well, has something been worked out? I have yet to hear anything from Lenny since my last post.

Leonard

Yeah, Anna's gonna help out with it. Seeing as how your car is out of comission at the moment, I think it incredibly unfair to ask you to help out to put on the event when you aren't even able to compete.

well dang, I was gonna go anyway and hope that someone would let me co drive.
but nobody seams to like the ides of getting to co drive my SM hatch when I get it together as a return favor.

Walter, you are most welcome to take the 'plow cow' out for a day of autocrossing. That is.....if you want to....not like its anything laudable. Its quite an embarrassment if you ask me  :)

and I wouldn't even expect anything in return.....well, maybe a cookie :D

what would be the Plow Cow? the 200SX?
I am coming out no matter what I may just take you up on that offer.

you can run the teg too if you want. altho im sorry to disappoint you.. i am disappointed myself, that i will not have my R tires ready in time.

i acquired a pair of 205/55R14s for free and a pair of 185/60R14s for cheap.

the R tires are BFG Comp T/A R1s

yes, the SE-R, The Plow Cow, Her Royal PITA. That's what you get when you are on street tires, and exceptionally front heavy, but I'm finally learning to use my limited slip to my advantage.. hey this is only my 2nd season of autocrossing...but R tires would be rather nice. :D

hmmm, choices now.
both cars in a stock class?

both cars are in stock class

the integra is a lil down on power (valve guides). but its a bit more nimble and has more neutral handling than the SE-R (and much more body roll)

the integra has adjustable shocks (tokico illuminas), more top end, shorter gearing, shorter shift throw, shorter clutch pedal stroke

the SE-R, however, has the LSD, and quite a bit more mid-range torque, smoother clutch engagement, and it has a less-sloppy shifter (the U-joint at the end of the shift rod in the integra is shot, it has a lot of lateral slop even tho still less than a VW, but its tight vertically)

damn I'm torn, I'm a honda person at heart, but I want to try out an lsd, and I really don't want to miss a shift in your car. hmmm, I still think I'd rather drive the Teg if you don't mind.

I really appreciate you guys letting me co drive!

its up to you.. its sloppy laterally but you still know where it is... as long as you don't slam it into gear you won't misshift.

the only gear i EVER misshift is the 4 to 5 upshift (you know how hondas are, 5th is practically where the passenger side window crank is). if i am not too deliberate here it occasionally goes into 3rd. this is not an issue when autocrossing.. especially at FSF where the only gears in use are 1 and 2.

btw, i should be there tomorrow

I more than ready and willing to co-drive anyone's car that they feel like volunteering, until I get some different wheels and tires for the Teg.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
actually I'm scared the nissan will rub off on me and I'll get stuck in it.

I will probably co-drive with Chris BodyRollin, just cuz I've known him longer and would feel more comfortable breaking his car than someone I've only met once.
