88 hatch vs. supercharged grandprix@9psi

heddin north on DM just past gaither a black supercharged grand prix pulls up next to me and i can tell he is itchin to get on it. so i give it a little gas to let him know i was ready and then we both hit it.

he said he was runnin 9 lbs, he had an upgraded chip. and some other shit
those things all stock have some balls, this thing was damn fast.
we ran dead fuckin even up to 130. i was like wholy shit.
and so was he :)
he prob walks away from most civics.

ive run into that guy he told me the same story but the out come of our race was diffrent,its not that fast(i had no problem wih him),an they run 15s from the factory i wouldnt call that balls?

yea those cars are slow stock.

umm they have 240 hp stock with 5or6 psi supercharger
and 280 torque at 3200. weak, i think not.

and they run 15.1 stock
and we were not racing from a stop.
his dyno numbers would prob put most v8's to shame

im sure he has damn near 300 torque at the wheels with his mods

plus i am runinng around with some severe tuning issues
my hondata is in now though, so i need to get it put in.
after i get tuned and get my intake mani/cam gears i should be about 185hp and 135-140 torque to the wheels
which should be nice.

say 210 to the wheels and 255 torque stock
id guess he was at like at least 240-260hp and 280-300 or so torque

this grand prix, svt lightning, ls turbo on low boost im sure,single cam vtec turbo,240sx,2 gst's, audi s4,wrx,
i beat all those cars or was dead even
the lightning was like 1/2 car faster

That guy's name is Cameron if it's who I think it is. He's a big guy... probably weighs around 300lbs. It's a black GTP with a PCM, 3.4" pulley, a GTX hood, and maybe one or two more mods. It has a custom plate that says 2K1GTP or something of the sort. I ran him a few months ago and we were dead even until about 80mph when I would pull a tiny bit. It's probably a low 14 second car.

i knwo i have ran him b4, too its ok it def hold it son but it was a good kill for old yellor! the yellow crix that is!! we raced right in front of gaither. everytime i see him he revs it up on me and acts all cool.. :). then we ran and that was it honda pervails!.

all i know is i romp on new stock mustang gt's. i run away and hide.
and they run low 14's so there is now way that grand prix runs low 14's
shit i ran on LS1 from rolls. not from a stop though.

I can find Cameron and set up a rematch if you like. As for racing from a stop. GTP's are strongest 0-80(1st and 2nd gear). They pull 2.0-2.1 60ft's. Then once they're in 3rd gear they lay down. Cameron DOES run low 14's, like a 14.3 @ 96mph or so. I'll do my best to find him and we'll se who prevails. You also have to remember that he weighs twice as much as the average guy, so it's not really fair unless you have a passenger and he's by himself.

Since when do heavier cars get handicaps? That is a bunch of shit. If he wants to build a 4000lb car he can't expect everyone he races to add weight to their car just to make up some of the weight. It is all part of the game.
