I could use one of those in the dorm :)

Actually I might be able to use the SAE shop to sneakily fabricate stuff for the K

Too bad the K is in Ocoee :(

So if you fabricated something for your K and it just happened to be the exact measurements i need...............................

LOL well like I said sneakily, there are a few machine shop nazis there that might not like me doing that. I'll have to see who they put in charge of what this year.

250lbs of badass Maurice could probably throw around everyone except for Sammy who is a wrestler.

Oh well I will have to wait until I take my design class where they require you to make something. Two of the guys last year built a go cart for this class.

Actually they made a tubular steel space frame go cart, but they also had to machine custom spindles and hubs and blah blah blah. I don't think there was any aluminum on the go cart, but there is plenty on the formula car among other things (magnesium, titanium, carbon fiber, kevlar, etc etc).

You should make some new old car spindles, taller, of course, for better camber gain :D and maybe sectoion a lower ball joint for faster steering ratio. Of course all for the K. Jeff and I will be the doormen to the shop. Hmm I could see it now, looking like Dexter's laboratory.

Cutting bits, mill bits, chucks, reams, etc etc etc. These tools, plus a few dial calipers and dial guages. Not to mention a constant supply of oil. All those bits and tools add up, and I am not even listing most of the crap you'll need.

Exactly. See if you can get a hold of a MSC catalog, they have all the stuff you could possibly need for machining. I think the catalog is over 1000 pages, cannot remember for sure.

actually the one I have is 3888 pages. Not including the index. Never looked in there for the machines, but I know they should have all the little bits.
