View Full Version : starting my palm bay thread early (plenty of time to plan)

im goin out to palm bay for an event on sept. the 15th and again on the 22nd the options for going out there are that you can get up ass-crack-o-dawn early and drive out in the a.m. or go over the previous night and stay at the hotel right next to the course if you get enough ppl to go then the hotel isnt that terribly expensive ($45 per night between 3=15 or between 4=11.25) the palm bay course set ups are always at least mildly amusing (really kik ass :lol: ) it is really fun and if we go out there sat. early enough we can hit the beach or something. here is the course layout for sept. 22nd http://www.eec.com/racing/Flyers2002/0922bcc_crs.pdf see i told you that the layouts kicked ass :lol: let me know if there is anything i can help out with if any one needs it. the last time we were like 5-6 cars deep from TR and the cool thing about the one on the 15th is that if we have more than 3 cars we can make a TR class :o yup wanna race against me or marks accord or possibly taylor, or leonard we can all be in the same class because they allow you to make one if you have 3 or more cars with you :twisted: well let me know guys

I'm down for it, getting a new clutch this week, not sure if anything else is gonna happen but if the car is not back on the road by then I will be actively looking for someone who will let me co drive. the favor will be returned once my car is squared away.

A big maybe from me. My attendance is depending on my money, car, and tire situation after the FSF event. Also, no more Motel 6. We stayed at that Motel 6 Sat night and the AC didn't work until about 2-3am when the room turned from muggy nastyness to a frigid meat locker. I'm pretty sure you could do better than or equal to $44/night at other local hotels (i.e. LaQuinta, Holiday Inn, Days Inn, etc.).

Hrm.. that's odd. The one time I stayed there, there were no problems at the Motel 6. Of course, I would mandate getting there signifigantly earlier than we did last time.

I'm a HUGE maybe. I've got toys ordered for the car that may or may not be completely installed by then.....

Shawn and I might be able to go, its all up to his job and if my grandparents will let us crash at their place, they live about 15 mins away from the site in Melbourne, free room and they feed us :) Much better than any ole Motel 6 if you ask me :P

You didn't work timing the WHOLE day, so you didn't earn one. Maybe if you work next time I'll get you a cookie too!

not that it matters... i did it willingly so i could ogle all the cars :)

It is a GSR head, didn't think about till after you walked away but it is stamped as such right on the front.

yea, i left after my last run, i was $#^^ exhausted, i only got a few hours sleep the night prior anyway.
