Looks like Ford was the vehicle of choice that day.

I guess I need to bring the mule out one of these days for a little cone-plowing fun.

Hmmmmm....I actually think there wasn't even one WRX there...which is very strange. Every auto-x I've been to so far has had at least 2-3.

There were quite a few Z06 Vettes out there. One of them had a blower on it.

Yeah, I talked to the guy with the blown Z06. Putting down 450 to the wheels with 6lbs of boost. He said he hadn't had it tuned yet and was running pig rich.

It was a bit much for him I think, but with some practice it could be fairly entertaining, and competitive.

SM2 could produce some nasty cars. I wonder how competitive it *could* be....we'll find out one day.

SM2? What will be different from SM? Maybe it will help level the playing field in SM and make it more affordable for the little guys? :D

SM2 is for the 2 seaters... Miatas with super/turbochargers, Z06s with crazy engine work, CRXs with motorswaps....etc.

I believe it also has a provision for SM cars that are over displacement limits... not?

Is SM2 for factory 2 seaters? The Focus is now a 2 seater since I removed the rear seats...and that is the whole reason I have to go with SM.

Yes FACTORY 2 seaters. As long as you only took out the back seats, and not the carpet or surrounding trim, youre still in SM.

Oh ok, makes sense. It is still okay to remove the carpet in the hatch/trunk area, just not in the passenger area right?

If I'm not mistaken I believe the porsche 912 and 914 are the only two seater porsches around.

That is irrelevant Tony, the rules specifically state no Porches in SM.

I wasn't commenting on the whole SM/SM2 thing. I wasn't sure if Jesse was thinking that a lot of porsches (including mine) were 2 seaters when they really are 4 seaters. I was just commenting that the volks-porsches (the 912 and 914) were some of the only 2 seater porsches made.

Yup, i know that Tony. I was just commmenting about the ruling about Porsches on the exclusion list of SM....very much similar to all Lotus's being disqualified for SM2.

E-modified

Those rules arent anywhere online, so you much purchase the SCCA Solo Rule book. We have those available at any local SCCA event for $15, i believe, although dont hold me accountable if its more/less.
