88 hatch verse new white svt lightning

ran from a 60-70 mph roll i wasnt really lookin. he was next to me so i dropped, he dropped and off we went, we had to dodge some traffic and he had to get behind me where it was obvious he was gunna ram my ass if he didnt slow down.then we caught a light and i proceeded to say i was a dog from the hole and he agreed to go from a roll(he had a auto he said, so im sure he didnt mind either. he also said he ran low 13's at the track so im assuming either (a) he was full of shit or (b) he had some mods. he at least gave me props for having a fast ride though!!
well we went from about 20 mph and i fuckin pulled his ass hard about 2 cars, got to the end of 3rd and then had to slam the breaks for a light.
i hope he was gettin on it all the way, im 99% sure he was.
anyway i was very pleased with the results. from the light i woulda been toast though, i gotta be realistic.

yeah, it was a kid. like no older than 25 he looked.
dark hair. didnt look like a herb. i didnt really notice any graphics on the back as i was in front the whole time :)
it was on dale mabry. we raced goin south before gaither, then we hit the light at taco bell and ran from there.

it was prolly my friend rich, he has a svt pretty much stock (basics) and hes a low 13 high 12.

they dont take much to be fast, u should read up on em, broaden your knowledge, they are pretty quick for a brick of a truck (also no traction do to lack of wieght on rear end)

btw they dont come in manuals, only auto's

and if it was my friend rich(in the svt) and YOU beat him, he PROLLY wasnt in full throttle, no offense but hes just damn fast

From a stop is where that truck is the best a roll probably put him one gear to high.

Automatics from a roll are inherently disadvantaged.

Some cars are worse off than others. Catch a C4 vette at around 35mph and you'll pull away... I did once in my Mustang. The stang was a 14.8sec car, the vette was a mid 13 car. His automatic screwed him bad, and I had 3 passengers!

If you'd have started from 15 mph faster he'd have been in a good RPM band and walked away.

But ya know... a kill is a kill. And a nice kill is what you have.

actually the ford lightning (acording to motortend) runs a 14.1 @ 96.5. two weeks ago at bradenton motorspeedway. there was a whtie one there. I watched him run a few times and the best I saw was low 15's. it was a shitty weather conditions though. they are listed at 360hp with a whooping 440 lbs of tourque! to answer your other question they weight about 4700 lbs. They are a really cool truck, however Chevrolet is coming out with a SS silverado soon. 345 hp and 380 lbs of torque with AWD! it should be pretty bad ass for a truck.
