trust me, power steering isn't that great.

poopypants autoxs his hatch without power steering.

I prefer not having it, get more feed back through the steering without it.

Yep, I agree 100%. I don't have PS in the porsche either. I don't like the fact that the last owner put an undersized steering wheel in the car but once I put a standard sized wheel back in it I will be very happy with my steering setup.

i like manual steering, when its a manual steering rack...

i hate how everyone disconnects their powersteering steering and think they have true manual steering now. drive it like that for a while, then drive a car with a manual rack. you'll never want to drive your car again. canceled powersteering drives like shit, im sorry. its not geared properly for it and the internal valving meant for powersteering has a gross feel to me.

different gearing my 280 z is not ps but that is the way it is supposed to be hence manual if i took it off of my integra it would feel like trying to steer some thing like a 78 cutlass w/o ps.lol

Chris, I have mine disconnected, on the course I like it, the only time it's a pain is when you're parking or extremely low speed. if you wanna try it you can drive my car around and see if you like it.

Yup, power steering is to auto-x what a condom is to sex.

I do like the idea of the new electric power steering racks though since you have a little help turning the wheels when you are barely moving but turns off as soon as you are moving. No extra weight and parasitic engine drag like you would have with a hydraulic pump on the motor either.
