Need info on boosted Escorts

Anyone know a thing or two about them cause I had only heard of them until last night I race one. Didn't do to bad either but there was not a huge margin of wictory. Yes, he won, but not as much as I would have thought he would. It was a White Escort w/ a black hood. Anyone know the car and can anyone tell me about these little things? I'm calling him back out after I get some more work done and I will not spray the engine.

They have turbo kits for ZX2 escorts, with Zetec engines last I remember. Now a days they have a turbo kit for just about every main stream sport compact, nothing to gawk at.

This wasn't a new car. I believe it was early to mid '90s. Not sure but, yes, he only beat me by a narrow margin. I pulled 1st and 2nd and 3rd is where he pulled me. I missed 3rd for both races but it wouldn't have made a difference.
