Everyone already knows the 5.0 is back. Ford rates it at 412Hp at the crank, but the big news is that Edmunds just got finished getting some numbers from the dynojet and it produced 395 SAE corrected HP, to the wheels!

for $29,500 you get the 412-HP 5.0, 6spd, 3.31 LSD, 18" wheels. not too shabby.

Mustangs & Fast Fords just took one to the 1/4 mile and ran a 12.7 on stock all seasons and a 12.3 on 10" M/T's, lifting a wheel while it was at it.

Ford truly brought this beast back for some serious action, i can't wait to see someone make a pass with a 4.11, big Kenne Bell, and 12" M/T's. I'm a hardcore import fan and i can honestly say I'd take one of these over the relatively priced Ralli-Art, WRX or 370Z. The Camaro even doesn't stand a chance.

I have never been a fan of mustangs period but the new 5.0 is really impressive. Ford has really got their ducks in a row for this one.

 

More and more I hate Ford's less... It's really their 80s-early 00s market that sucked and now they are turning around for the better!

 

ford has stepped their game up tons lately. the f-150 raptor svt is fucking insane. i would love to have a new 5.0 stang

 

This new mustang is really impressive, I like that its a 5.0 because I grew up loving the 5.0 third gens. Definately beats the hell out of the camaro.

 

Camaro looks better IMO.

The v6 is equally impressive, 13.7 is damn good for a stock v6, It has the same handling characteristics as the gt and stops even shorter

Any info yet on the Cobra models?

 

5.4 S/C 550-HP. i think it costs $60,000, for that I'd have to dip out in a Z06 or GTR.
