I like the rigging of the distributor. Is that on a 2.2 or a 2.4 block???

FYI, i just found out that the engine in the above pictures is really a 2.5 with the neon head!!!

It's Brian Slowe's accomplishment!

Michael Schwochert (which is the person i thought had the farthest progress on the head swap says: "Mine is just about ready to run, just working out a few bugs outa the cam timing!"

Maybe there IS some hope for my engine in the future?!?

Or maybe it is a blessing for the TBI people. Imagine using a Neon head and ECU on what used to be a 2.5 TBI :D

Oh boy oh boy oh boy, I hope someone is working on a page. I'd so like to see this :)

I don't know. I didn't even pay attention to the fact that it had a Distributor, 2.4's are distributor less now I am confused.

hes running 2.2 electronics.. so no coil packs. Also- 2.4s probably use a crank pickup or somethign like the T3 does.. and when not using that block or trans (where the pickup is), dist works just fine.

Dave St Louis with his T3 Shadow had the same exact setup. So did others.

The valve cover? I guess it's from a "2.4L 16 valve DOHC"

but what distributor did they use? Im too hung over to read websites with lots of techno babble

stock 2.2/2.5 one

they just make a little bracket to mount it to the cam and cut a slot in the cam to drive it.

Id rather make it work with the 2.4 electronics, then again I have Issues

FearThe4Doors

why? unless you use a 2.4 block and everything?

1) all the 2.2 sensors are there already and easily plug into the 2.2 harness and ecu

2) its a lot easier/cheaper to find if you have a non-turbo to start with

3) We have broke the codes for 2.2/2.5 and you can write any cal you want for the extra air it will flow.... 2.0/2.4 cals will probably never be broke.

4) There's nothing wrong with 2.2/2.5 electronics (unless you use the Logic Module). But even Relentless still uses LM/PM (with a cal of course)

Ah we DO have a 2.0L in the shed. and when you get tired of our old omni.............

got the electronics for it? I wonder if it will match the bulkhead going into the car. With that car being an 87 with LM/PM... it may require lots of manual wiring to get it to work. But i know you like being over technical on things, 808. :D

I could prolly get it running, just gotta figure the AWD setup
