Dunno if I'll make it out or not... gotta deal with my holy kumho first... (I took a screw in it on the way home from FSF). I dunno if I'm comfortable running a patch it with as hard as they get treated at autox.

I've been to one of their events at the Z-Hills location. There are some pics on this site somewhere...or atleast were.....I posted them, so you can do a search on me if you want.
Anyway....I had a blast! Fast and fun track! Although the surface is a bit negelected and dusty. You'll be glad you attended. A pretty decent variation of cars show up too. I thought it would be all Porsches and Bimmers (a lot of those also.) Infact...my sig is a pic taken there.
Bring stickey rubber...shade and plenty of water....you'll need it.
Its also a pain in the butt to find the track. When you get to the dead end/ dirt looking road...that's where you go. It looks decieving. Have fun, good luck. Wish I could make it...oh well.

I should be there with Frances. I'm still not sure if I can make the next FSF AutoX, and was pissed about having to wait for another one. So, this is perfect.

Dave White didn't complete my esitmate before the weekend so I still have the 930 for a few more days.
If I can get out of some family obligations there is a chance.

Unfortunately, you won't have the opportunity to "compete" with them. The Porsche guys don't go by exact SCCA rules. They classify Porsches and Bimmers into their respective classes and then stick all other cars into a "other" class...no matter what type of vehicle or mod's it has.
But, whatever.....its a fun course, I'm just glad they don't turn all us "other" car drivers away.

I will make it after all.
It looks like I will also make it to the next FSF auto-x with the porsche too.
Dave White wants over $4K just to rebuild the motor (not counting parts and other related labor) so it looks like I will be rebuilding the motor myself. Thats was a bit too much when I am planning of spending around $5K on parts and upgrades alone.
I'll just have Dave Whites shop drop the motor for me and replace it when I am done. I bet I can also easily beat their 1-2 month time period it will take to do all the work.
Either way, I won't be able to afford to do all this till after the July FSF event, so I'll see ya all at Z-Hills and the FSF.

Very wet and fun indeed. I was soaked down to my underwear after helping the PCA guys fold up shop and pick up cones. At least when I was done I got a chance to do a little free style wet weather traction testing on the runway.
To top it off I got to pwn quite a few porsche owners with my antique before it started raining.
They even gave me this little memento for my troubles.

My best time was 54.7XX. How did everyone else do?

your lucky you got a chance to run before the down pour, the "other class" gets jacked in the pca events, with only one run in puddle filled course and a almost spin out i had damn near same time as 400hp930! i am kinda pissed about it, because i feel i would have run a 49.XX at least? though there will be next time! peace, eric

i was kinda pissed about event because of down pour, plus the only run i got was in crapy conditions, puddles, rain, etc... i even had to come to almost complete halt because i almost spun out though i still manged to run almost same time as 400hp930! i wish i had been in first group i think i could have run a 49.xx maybe faster, car was dialed in for that high speed course! but always next time! peace, eric

And as if that was not bad enough for you guys that runway pavement sucked ass even before it got wet.
Even if it had not rained the later heats would have had it worse than our first heat with the way the blacktop was breaking up and loosening up the turns.
Which car were you in Eric?

I think I win the award for most time spent (with car running) on the track. When you add in my two parade laps and my first lap before the rain not counting....then my very long, and very fun last lap........I WIN!!!
