is deleting ur iac a bad idea?

Default is deleting ur iac a bad idea?

ok my h22 has been acting up with the idling so i went ahead and deleted it. but no im wondering if im doing anykind of harm to my motor? and i also block the upper valve hole inside my throttle body to help the car idle down. but i really dont know if im fuckin anything up.. so if anyone could help me out that would be great.. lmk thanks

other than check engine light and a code, no mayor harm.. though i would had just gotten a new one and just delete the coolant hoses going to it..

willl the car even run with out it? i would say replace it dont delete it

it'll run with out it just some times if u really get on the throttle when u let off the car can stall out. u can adjust the two screws in the throttle body to manually adjust the idol to prevent the stalling

yeah i have notice the stalling when lettin off the gas after getting on it. but think im just going to get a new one. does anyone know where the best and cheapest place would be to get one? cause i know they can be kinda costly. but thanks

try lkq theres a bunch of em all over there a junk yard u pull ur own parts if u find it there it'll be cheep if not check other junk yards or even eBay. another good source would be to look on different honda forms

id say spend the extra few bucks and save your self some time and headache and just go get it new.. believe me you will have the best results..

yup on the expensive, the type-r at the honda dealer are in the 300 range and high 200 for the gsr iac valves... I paid the price not too long ago, for nothing cuz it wasn't even my iacv acting up! grrr

I would spend the extra time and money and get 2 used ones at junkyard: 1 for ur car, and the other as a spare. Clean'em up right, and boom, for less than $100 u should be fine for q cpl of years i reckon!
