I need some pointers here guys:)
Got a friend with a9 95 cavalier....alternator went. A friend replaced it..now..the key cylinder is locked...wont move an inch when key is inserted.
I took apart the cylinder and ignition swich today. IF i manually turn the ignition switch..the electrical in the car comes on, but when I turn the switch to the crank position....nada.
What should I check? I know the vehicle needs to be in park/neutral for it to start. How does the car know this?
How can i check the ignition switch with a meter to make sure its good?
