i have done it before by just mixing in some different colors until it matches up, you can put in a couple grams of a lighter color to compensate for fading,.

If you have a good painter he can match the paint by tinting and sprayers skills.

yeah i know it is tinting, he said earlier that he is not a painter so i was trying to help him with easy to understand terms, and you do not need a mixing station to get the tint correct, if you have been doing it long enough you know what colors you can put in to make it slightly different. being that it is all the same kind of base coat, i.e. a good one for red is you add in a little orange base to compensate for the fading. also for someone looking to match a color that has faded you can go thru a color book and find some color that matches alot closer then what is actually on the factory panels,.
and then mix to get what you are looking for.
