More picture whoring. Heres what it looks like with the inlet glued to the side. I just used some caulk to hold it in place until I get some epoxy and some more bondo (to make it look pretty). I also have to port the opening for the inlet a little more as you can tell. I made the whole with a hacksaw blade and was just trying to cut the majority of it out.

Before anyone tears me apart for using caulk its masonry caulk which will be hard as rock in another 48hrs sort of like bondo :D

Damn mang... that looks real nice!!
So what are you gonna call it? The super ultra cold iceman front mount ice draw intake?

Hahaha NO!
Thats a whole other mod d00d. (aka liquid cool the intake via separate closed system)

does the power increase that the cooler air gives the engine make up for the loss with the added weight and power to run the pump?

Thats all going to depend on the pump (looking for a small low amperage unit) but I dont think the system is going to weigh more than 10-15lbs dry.
Bob my design is much easier than that. The actual intake manifold has coolant passages in it already. They were supposed to improve fuel atomization at idle. I bypassed them when I was putting all the hoses back in the car.
I am gonna get a small tank and probably use a small water pump with a pint sized heater core strapped in front of the radiator. The goal is to keep it light but regardless I havent even started to lighten the car up anyways (although the balance shafts were heavy). Is it worth its weight in hp? Who knows but as of yet no one has tried it and documented it. I dont even have access to a dyno (and I dont plan to pay to dyno a sub 200hp car) so I wont know anyways.
