Default will i have to notch pistons with big cam.

just came to my mind i have a set of 1.7rr's i bought with my heads will i have to notch my pistons if i go with a trickflow 1 cam? or another cam around 500 lift give or take with the 1.7's?

Not enough info. Heads valve size? But Im pretty sure with the 1.7's and a stock valve you'd be real close.

always check ptv clearance, its cheap and easy. No engine is identical.

however, it "should" clear.

I would not try that without checking. its not worth it. trust me on that one.I ordered all the stuff to check. degreeing kit with checking springs. and a video. after blowing up my prize motor after paying someone else to do all that cost me over 7k and made me sell my car I was so pissed. would be easier to run 1.6

Because you should always ck piston to valve clearance. And with your size heads & cam you should be find, but before you pay someone to install it for you they should ck it anyways. Most reputable places do this automatically.
