So Ive seen alot of sohc to dohc swap guides and none of them that I have found really tackle the cruise control. Can I just use my sohc cruise control parts, or do I need the stuff from a 91-93? Assuming my dohc motor comes with the cruise control brackets. It does Im pretty sure. From what I have found I might need the cruise control cable from a 91-93. Other than that I have no clue.

 

double check a wiring diagram in the FSM, but I'm pretty sure nothing special has to happen with the wiring... other than that, just hook it up like you would if you didn't swap motors... the cruise control unit doesn't care if it is a sohc or dohc, it is going to open and close the throttle the same... only thing it cares about is if it is an automatic tranny or a manual... other than that, it should all be the same...
