me and VeeRsix were heading to Fred Howard park up in tarpon yesterday and we made a little stop at cypress run with is a long straight road surrounded by farms in tarpon springs. 1st gear we both spun like nuts and were even through first. 2nd gear he had a slight pull on me until a little thing called vtec around 5500. 3rd he pulled hard and by the end he had a little over a car on me. we turned around and went again and got the same result. Good races....for now:evil5:

good runs what you really need to do is learn from Anthonys mistakes...get 2 turbos 1 supercharger and some NAWWWWS and put them all on at the same time! you can get a triple gauge pod with 3 boost gauges! then you can kick some ass and finish off what little compression you have left!

sorry to tell you but after first gear you shouldnt drop out of vtec:rolleyes:

99... i was thinking the samething... maybe you should check your shift points... i dont drop out of V-Tec and i dont even hae a tach...

Good kill.

I think I can help clear up your confusion. I can understand why you are being questioned...its because you said he pulled until you hit VTEC in 2nd gear. If you wound out first gear then you should already be in VTEC as soon as you put in in 2nd gear. Also VTEC should engage at 4400 rpms in a GSR not 5500.

yes i noticed this too but it was too late to edit the 5s into 4s. i also understand the confusion because i was referring back tofirst gear about hitting vtec after i typed about 2nd. Basically i need to work on my typing skills.

either i am confused or i am missing something. you said you raced a vr6 i thought vr6s were turbo all wheel drive. if that is so then how did you both stay even through first gear and how did he spin his tires he must have a shit load of horsepower to spin all the way through first with all four wheels spinning.

a vr6 is a vw gti with a v6 and front wheel drive. your thinking of a 3000 gt vr4 which are all wheel drive and twin turbo

yeah i know its enages at 4400. but you start really feeling and hearing it at about 5700 on my car..i also have a skunk2 manifold so that throws it off some.

chris (westside) doesnt goto eastlake his step brother does so he knows of people at eastlake. i get my license this summer im not exactly sure what im gonna get yet. possibly an si boost it. or maybe a 240 and swap a sr20det in it im not sure yet.
