Riding down 60 towards town with Maite the dog and a bunch of crap in my car I come across 2 kids in a red t-topped IROC Camaro. As they pass me they look over and with a haughty glare they punch it giving me an earful of the overwater exhaust note. I blow it off and they slow down and I pass them...going the same speed as I was before. They do it again. I think nothing of it as we catch some traffic. This time I get tired of seeing this Camaro in my rearview and decide to take action. He switches lanes and nails it...just as I expected. I let him get his nose to my back wheels before I hammer it. I immediately start pulling on him and get in front of him and continue to turn him into a redneck speck in my rearview (amidst the clouds of unburnt petrol). Funny how they didnt even pull up next to me after my little display.

I have no idea what it runs actually. To be honest I am wary of taking it to the track as it is a long tow back to my house if that tranny dies (which it is gonna).

The car has a .030 over 302 Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads E-303 camshaft ported GT-40 intake and a whole mess of suspension stuff done to it. Of course there is alot more but those are the real important parts.

Those 305s in the 3rd gen Camaros only have like 220 hp right?

 

If that. 302s in Mustangs had 225 hp and 300 ft lbs of torque. Even if I had a bone stock coupe my weight advantage alone would have been enough.

 

it was probably a v6 your mustang would never be able to beat a IROC...j/p.....your a killer take it easy on the mullets.

 

I think actually the Iroc camaros had a TPI(Tuned Port Injected) 350. But ya the hp rating wasnt high. My guess it was about 240-250 range. Its amazing how long the 350 has come. Damn LS1s
