i think someone should post a how to on DIY car painting, my friend and i were looking and couldnt find one, just think it would be kinda nice, if there already is one then nevermind and my bad

That would be like a do it yourself business degree or phd. Not saying its rocket science but there is too much knowledge to simply type out. Repair ,sand,prime,paint. Hows that??

theres like a thousand threads on how to Roll paint your car! If im going to type out extensive knowledge on exatly how to, then I am going to need to charge for it. If you have specific questions there are several of us here that can help.

okay, well on my bike the guy that had it before me simply sprayed EVERYTHING on the bike in blue, then it looks like he just sprayed over the blue with black with no prep because its all flaking off, so do i need to get all that off or can i just sand that top layer thats peeling off, and what grit sandpaper do i go with and in what order, oarse to fine correct??

you want to do it right? get it all acid dipped and start with bare metal then go from the bottom up.

or sand blast it and start over....

sorry I spent alot of years developing my methods and I don't feel like giving away my trade secrets for free. above is a good start though...

can u acid drip the plastics, was always told that will eat them away, same with sand blasting i heard, i got some of that paint remover in a can and it worked great for the tank and wheels but dont wanna ruin the fairings

Just start hand sanding with like 180 grt. Strip all that old crap off
