Ok so I just got a 2007 sti. I want to pay someone to black out my headlights and tail lights but I don't know of any shops around here that do it. If I can't find a place ill just send them to lightwerkz but if you know a place that would be great help to me. Thanks.

2nd Vote for MCOR. Matt & his guys are class-act businessmen, and are enthusiasts to the core! We refer a lot of business to MCOR due to the level of professionalism and service that they provide!

^holy cow! $100? I bought a sheet of 24''x24'' oracal smoked vinyl and did my tails myself. Cost me $12.99 and an z-acto knife! came out awesome! There not hard to do yourself. theres plenty of write-ups on the net for them and the sheets of vinyl are very inexpensive

I know its insane. Its maybe a 2 hour job. I cannot see paying that much which is how we got into doing it. Our rates are negotiable and way more affordable

Im not selling a service. Just letting you know it can be done for under $20 if your any bit inclined to do it yourself.

using vinyl looks shitty IMO and it can lift and bubble and gives the light a Hazy look, now if you are to go with the Paint it looks much much better, and you can make it as light or dark as you want, unlike the tint! GO with Hellfire studios you will not be disappointed!

^i wouldve liked to have them painted but i was worried about the permanence factor. With my vinyl, i can take it off whenever i want.

Exactly. YOu wont get as much resale value if you paint. also my friend got a ticket because painting gets them illegal dark

Then they must have been totally blacked out, and ANY modification to your vehicle can affect the resale value for better or worse, just depends on what the next owner is looking for.
But I have compared both tinted and painted lights side by side, and the painted ones last longer and look a lot better, without crumples and bubbles and defects in the film.
But yes it is more perminate well it would have to be sanded down, and re cleared but i believe you can get the light back to normal with a little effort.

I use ppg clear and with alittle black to tint the clear and make it as dark as you want. and you dont have to worry about fadeing cracking or peeling. Ive done about 20 sets and about 10 sets of headlights and fog lights to. and I guarantee my work.
