im wanting to paint my streetbike and rims soon,
so im looking for two things today what is the average price to get a bike painted im going to do a black base and then some gold graphics over that anyone have an idea what that usually runs and then do i have to use a special paint for my rims so that they dont chip or crack thanks for the help guys

well depending on what you want to do for graphics i would be more than happy to take a look at your bike and give you an estimate from there. You can paint your rims with standard automotive paint and they wont crack. only chipping issues would be caused by changing tires. Personally I would get the wheels powder coated if you are to change their color.

love to have you do it but im in chicago now and still using tamparacing...
but i say some rims that were powdercoated the othre day and they were all dull and i want that shiny look... and also i heard you can get a spray on paint remover so i can clean the old paint off but does this work and where can i get that

in theory you could probably get it at a parts store like auto zone or napa. but almost for sure from a paint supplier.
I have never seen powder coat fade. it might have been powdercoated a satin color and not high gloss.
