this is the worst beating ive taken in the dx... but thats what i get...
im leaving peabodys the other night when i see a green 95 or 96 240 with white 17s and what looked like a tanabe rm exhaust leaving the parking lot. my roommate dan looked at me and was like you wont go race him... knowing ill never turn down a race. so i hop in the dx and see if i can catch up to him. he got stopped at the light onto BBD and i managed to get out behind him in traffic. im behind some saturn when i see him pull up so i get behind him and he speeds up. then i see an opening in front of the saturn and i get over next to him. i pull up but he didnt seem interested so i kept going and got in front of him and try to get home before my friends so i can get the last beer in the fridge. then i notice that hes keeping right behind me... so i floor it and he still stays with me but i notice hes not pulling. then we got to the light at BBD and Bearss and i see him get into the turn lane... damn it its an empty light and theres no oncoming traffic... he cant be scared of the dx. so i look over to see him turning and i notice that his signal is off and hes pulling up next to me... woohooo! i roll down my window to see if he wants to go and he nods. light goes green... i get a good launch and jump him off the line... 33mph still in front... nice shift to second... wait a second... whats that whistle? BASTARD! hes got a turbo... 40... hes right next to me... 50... hes got a car on me... 60... 3 cars... 70... 6 cars... i flash him to say ive had enough and he slows down. i get next to him and im like you got a turbo??? he says no its all motor. i say really what was that whistle? he says yeah i got a turbo... i tell him nice car and we both turn on fletcher... me going to temple terrace and him to carrollwood. if anyone knows this guy or this car... what kind of numbers does he run? cause man i got spanked... bad.
