View Full Version : SUPRA Scared Stupid?!? DAMN STRAIGHT!

I was driving down Fletcher last night and stopped at a light next to this Supra. I am the kind of guy that likes to race just for the sake of racing so I could care less wether I win or loose a race. I knew that this Supra would kick my arse if I raced him but I figured I would screw around with him just for the fun of it. I drive a 92 Celica I have a pretty good exhaust and an air intake system but thats it. I looked over at him and reved my engine. Well sometimes when I rev my engine my air-intake sucks up ait just right and it sounds like a turbo. Thats what it did and it did it really loud this time. The young guy in the Supra looks over at me and I ask him if he wants to race hes like na man this dude sounded like he was about to piss his pants. Man I was trying o get him to race but then he ignored me and pulled off from the line as slow as he could. Man pussies like that make me laugh my ass off! He would have kicked my ass! I love my Celica to death and all but it is slow as hell!:D

i have a 91 celica and my car ALWAYS makes that noise and you can hear it from pretty far away...i doubt he was scared of you sorry

My celica makes the same noise to mabey its something with the 5th gens I dunno. One thing I do know is that a supra would KICK THE ASS of a 5th gen celica anyday. Unless you have a 3sgte swap ur lying.
The guy in the supra was prolly shocked you even tried him with him knowing full well that hed kick ur ass. I love my car and all but its SLOW.

No I hardly ever go out to the track. I do not have a white stripe on my car. And I live in Temple Terrace. I have never met anyone from this board in RL so nobody would know who I am unless they have seen me at the races. My car looks stock except for I have a set of 2001 GTS Celica 16 5-spoke rims and an Arospeed exhaust.

Guess what! I NEVER SAID I COULD BEAT HIM! lol I said he would have blown me away. I had no chance I just thought it was kinda funny he wouldnt race me. And yes my car is an auto:(

How do you know it was stock? Did u see under the hood? And you just contradicted yourself....first you said he was doing #2 in his drawls and now you say he wasnt. I dont think Id even bother wasting the gas on a race with you...and my car is slow as balls too. No need to try to talk yourself up...just come to terms with your slowness....itll be a long hard battle but one day youll be able to say my car is a slow ass piece of shit......took me awhile before I could....but now its no biggie.

P.S. I changed my mind....I would race you.....at least that way youll have a better chance of not being blown away.

Just a funny side note. I got smoked by a supra the other night on the interstate just messing around. I wanted to see how FAST it really was. We were doing 90 and he left me like I was in reverse. And he didnt even downshift. :)

That blue one? With the chrome rims? Parks at USF? Just curious. Dont think hes the fastes on the street btw. Unless he has done a HELL of a lot. Fast but nowhere NEAR the FASTEST. (See high hp Supras have this problem with traction. If U have one youll know what I mean :) )

Ill second that. The Supra owners in Gville wont even RACE from a stop you gotta be going at least 30 before theyll dump on you. Of course if they did race from zero they would catch you when you are still doing 60 because youre 3 carlength lead (attributed only to better traction) will be TOAST.
The only thing Ive seen hold NEAR the super-Supra (>550rwhp)up here is a blown (15psi) 99GT Mustang with buttloads or mods... and the stang would only race from 30 to 120...
he even admits had they raced any longer the supra woulda pulled forever!
Supras know no fear and for good reason.
