Gsr vs civic ex turbo

cruisin to a friends house i take a right on sheldon from waters when i see a white civic with a intercooler on the front so i slow down to see if hell play. he pulls up next to me and it sounded liked he droped it a gear but i couldnt tell b/c of my radio
so i drop it into second and go. i pulled at least 3 or 4 cars before the end of third around 7k.
i wasnt sure if he got on it all the way so i slowed to see if he wanted to play one more time.

we get about even and we go at through third i beet him by a little bit more this time.
i thought that car wouldev put up a better fight then that.

Only if you have boost or he was only boosing like 4psi...

Could have been a false intercooler... or those intercooler/cold air intakes.... definately not a good civic ex turbo setup...

damn guys give a little credit. and it is an EX not an Si. EXs only put out like 100hp to the wheels...slap a greddy kit on there at about 5-7psi and u only got about 140-160hp and i know 95gsrs car has more than that;). good kill sissy

I have a friend in Miami that runs a turboed ex at like 8 psi and hes only in mid 14s.. maybe low 14s at best.

I didnt think exs were even worth modding... :confused:

Not that it matters but you could hear the bov but not which gear he was in? I dont really care but I thought I would point that out. i turned my radio down and i heard him coming up the second time and after i a slowed down to chat before my turn after the second.

Boostedz31 yea that was me blonde spikey hair and all. i was on my way to usf when i saw him and he kept sneezing at me then asked if i wanted to run so we ran from like a 5-10mph roll. it was a lot faster than i thought it would be because i fucked up a couple 3rd gen RX7s with no problem. it was a pretty good run even though i had no traction all the way through 2nd gear. once i gripped in 3rd i pulled on him. good run and oh yea......go spikey hair!:D

i have seen that civic before but my motor was still cold or else i would have tried to play with him a bit. its nicely done. there are like three white civics that are done up in tnc/ citrus park area. and one silver turboed one. i see them all the time.

tom doesnt race pepole that much i rember back in the day when he frist put the greddy kit on he ran like mid to low 15s so even thow john says ex are worth tuneing i wouldnt . besides once u get deep in the 14s your just gona brake your diff and what fun that well be jp did it
