today i went to go see the ram airs after i nutted all over them i sat down in them i feel in love w/ 2 of them a white ram air and a blck ram air the black ram air is stick and the white ram air is auto i dont know witch one to pick im not a real big stick fan i hate the whole switchn shi7 but when im racng i rather have stick then auto cuz u have more control over the car but im not goin to race all day sometimes i wanna chill and laugh at civics i dont know what to get stick or auto the both have good and bad?

Yeah...tough choice. Depends how much your going to mod the car and if it will be a strip car or all around car...maybe even autocross on occaision. For the strip the auto is the way to go. Just a stall converter swap can drop 5 to 8 tenths of your ET. Auto is also a lot less hassle. No searching for a clutch that works. But I love to shift!

The T-56 is far stronger than the 4L60E automatic.
So I wouldnt recommend doing lots of mods having that tranny. More constant the the 6 speeds and like hybrid said... with the stall converter your picking up serious numbers. But the 6 speed has more pull on the highway and will probably give you less problems.. Plus itll make the car worth more.
Lower Ets with 4L60E....
Higher trap speeds and less horspower loss with T-56

Whatever you do dont shop at Courtesy Pontiac.:mad:Those bastards will add like $4-5K in market parity adjustments (because the car is rare) pin stripe jobs and environmental protection package (a friggin paint sealer) bullshizzit. I was at James-Rivard Pontiac about 3 weeks ago and they had about 10 Ram Airs and 3 Firehawks; all but 3 were stickshift and no stupid dealer add-ons.:eek: Hell there was only 2 regular T/As. If I had cash youd be seeing me in a black Firehawk right now. I gotta go check my lotto numbers......
