Again, sorry for the crappy I phone pics. But please let me know what you guys think.

Started with filler, then Slick sand, then 2k,then shot 3 coats of Designo Graphite(Chromabase)-this is where it gets the grey with blue matalic, then 3 coats of thinned out Designo Black(Chromabase)this is where it gets the darkness with red matalic. Then followed with 4 wet coats of Matrix Systems high solids clear. Then sanded and buffed it to glass.

Looks great man. Now,think about how many hours and how much work into it--multiply that times a WHOLE car. Then have some ass tell you that he will pay you $600 to do his car. Thats when you will learn to truly hate people.

Thats when you will learn to truly hate people.Man,if I did this much work to a whole car I would need some serious money too.Honestly,I could see charging a lower amount to just sand and spray a car with decent products, but hell,I have about 50 hours and $200 into this one fender.Trust me,working for Josh and alot of other painters over the years I have seen the time and cost of what goes into a quality paint job and the headaches a good painter goes through.I've also been through it with sanding and buffing cars. But,if someone wants there car painted for $600,they must not understand what kind of time, effort, commitment, and cost that goes into a good paint job,so why don't you guys just politely say "sorry, but I can't do it for that".I love to sand and buff cars out after there painted,I'm very good at it,but if someone offered me a low amount to do there car,I wouldn't hate them,or call them an ass,I just wouldn't do there car.I really have a passion for painting, but if I get good enough and ever grow a big enough set of balls to paint someone else's stuff,it will have to be worth it.Thanks for the complement:)

Trust me,you would stop being polite. Let me quote for you some statements made to me over the phone by people I have tried to deal with. These are EXACT words that are burned into my brain forever... " no,I want to roll up to a car show and have people say, nice paint man,but Im not going to spend more than $1000. Why do you want so much?!?"

And my favorite one was... "Thats what I dont understand about you painters, You sand and paint a car in 2 hours and you want $2000!!!"

Guy actually told me I should only have a couple hours prep time in an allover job. I love people!

Some people have no idea. I didn't do my paint, but I stripped it down and reassembled it for the guy who did to save some bucks. Plus I got to spend some time "learning" how it all goes together.

The next time it gets painted I want to diassemble it almost completely and make it perfect. I know, I am wishing again!
