Why do all the Supra guys swap two smaller turbos for one big tuba sized one? I mean wont two samller turbos create as much boost if not more than a single big one. Plus since there are two smaller ones wont they spool quicker than a huge single one also? Isnt a twin turbo set up the better way to go?

No way those two little stockies can push more than a t78 or t88 :).
The upgrade for the same reason anyone would the turbos are bigger than stock. You give up a little spool for a big hit and big HP! :)

a larger turbo takes longer to spool up but can produce alot more boost.... the little ones are better for everyday driving cuz they spool up faster
and two big ones would be over kill....

Its all about how much air turbos can flow. Usually turbos that spool up quick flow less air. Larger turbos flow more air than smaller turbos. For example a T25 vs T66 they can both make 15psi but the T66 can flow 4 times as much air thru it (not sure on the numbers) thus making alot more HP. If you have to big of a turbo you may never get it to spool up to make boost. Thus you must find a happy middle (spool vs flow).

Lag is fun I love the rush when it the turbo finally comes in I can only imagien what it feels like when 600 hp of lag catches up....I need to be alone.

Well wouldnt two slightly larger twins that create more or equal boost of a single tuba sized turbo be the way to go? Upgrade to two larger twins but not mammoth and I know it will produce more boost than one mommoth without being overkill. I think this is what I would do and I think it would use it to its potential more often as you get quick spools meaning more street light kills. Whatever I guess its a preference. I think people just like throwing in a huge goofy turbo just for looks.
One turbo is easier to plumb and also cheaper. People do what works man if the twin turbos were the absolute fastest in a small displacement 6 six cylinder I am sure that woudl be what everybody did. But when people are getting damn 1000 hp out of a 3.0 litre...who cares about lag...when you are running 9s.
