Due to my Mother F***ing wisdom teeth flaring up I was not able to make it Friday night (Nov. 2nd) for Club 1320.

How did it go ?

Please give me a brief statement on how it went and anything that you think needs to change.

Hopefully there was better music or no music at all. I called Wade (track manager) Friday morning and e-mailed Alan and asked them to please address the music this week so hopefully they did.

I am going to post a link to this post in a couple of the other forums so I get maximum feedback so please dont flame me for doing that.

Thanks

John

it was good they played 93.3--which is kindof a neutral station--they played mostly techno all night---the only thing i was upset about was they werent cleanig the track(but then again it is a street racing event and the streets arent usuallt clean) so i can live with that---but they also let some trailered cars run---i thought they specifically said no trailer cars so i dont know about that and they put a little water in the water box i dont mind this but i think alot of people who came there didnt know what it was and drove through it without using it so that is just getting the track more dirty and wet...and id also like the use of some sort of tree even a pro tree would be better than just a green light.....

Yeah the music was much better I would rather here 97.1 but I can deal with 93.3. I kind of liked the tree how it is just the green light its kind of like a street light but thats just me. I also like the 5th lane for people that didnt have anyone to race that was a good idea.

Hey how about this for times instead of giving us the timeslip and having someone run the booth how about just flash the time on the screen you can have a friend tell you what you ran? Just a idea.

I made it out for the first time on friday. I only raced twice but the line was short all night. It was well run and contained no loud stereos or people. The music was bearable im ok with the light how it is a fast tree would be a little better but that wont make it or break it for me. Timeslips however would be nice. All-in-all I had a great time!

I didnt watch much racing but what I did watch was pretty good! Turn out was about half as much as last time probably because the novelty has worn off and b/c there was a large football game going on locally. But overall this event is a sucess. I still think they should offer timeslips to those who might want them. Next event hopefully I will be racing :evil2:

They are working on the speaker situation. They are trying to address all of the bigger issues first I imagine. The turn-out being less might have been from the football games but more likely because of the uncertain weather. I agree completely with the timeslips. I have been asking Alan if we could get them so I will pass this along again. Hope to see everyone there for the next event.

I was told it was a violation of the FCC to play music over the PA system so I will ask about that. I doubt you will see any major track prep for this event given its nature. The trailered cars were mostly for the Nostalgia race that went on over the weekend. I do not know why they put water in the water box. That only makes the starting line more of a mess with all of the radial cars driving through thr water. The tree issue is up for big debate I would imagine. Thanks for the feedback.

The music sounds like it was a big improvement. Getting a specific channel might be hard given the variety of people that attend the race. I seriously doubt you will ever see any times on the board. This is the main reason why they have this event with this format. I really think they sould give out timeslips and just raise the price a $1.00 to cover the cost.

I was upset about the trailer queens being aloud to race. When ever they raced the lines were majorly backup do to how long it took for them to do there prep work burnout and staging. Once the crew put water in the water box it was no longer a street event. THe staging lanes then were tracked with streaks of water and vht/rubber debreah (sp). Other than that I had a good time. I would like a one yellow like notice on the tree. It was had sometimes to knowing when it was turning green. At least on the streets you have a flagger with his hands up to give you a notice when he is ready.

I had fun.

Id rather at least see times if no slip.

Loose the water no one seems to get it.

Id like a pro tree.

Ill just go to the Test and Tune.

I talke to Alan while I was there explaining that a lot of people had approached me about the Trailered cars. He explained that a lot of people like to see the fast cars at this event.

What are your opinons Ill pass them along. As far as the water box either people need to drive around it or it should be DRY all night. No water allowed on the track period.

Personally I think that NO Trailers should be allowed in the car should be driven in as well with NO slicks. This includes me.

why are people not understanding the purpose of club 1320?!

there are NO time slips! ( you dont get them on the street)
there are NO pro-trees (you have red then green on the street)
there is NO track preperation (do you VHT up meridian?)
there is NO waterbox! (do you find puddles to do burnouts in before you race.. on FREAKIN STREET TIRES!!!????)

IF YOU WANT TIME SLIPS.. GO TO A TEST AND TUNE. SATURDAY MORNING AND THURS NIGHTS.

I agree with absoluley everything that Vortecfl posted above for the exception of the timeslips. I think we are going to loose a lot of people by not having timeslips or we will not draw as many people its the same difference either way.

Easy there killer..lol

Friday was my first time at 1320 and overall I had a great time. The people I went with said there are usually way more people there but the lack of people didnt bother me. The fact that the trailered cars were racing didnt either. it kind of broke the monotony of seeing a modded GSX up against a stock Civic. With the muscle cars there it was kind of fun to bet on who would actually win.

I dont know about timeslips but flashing the times at the end of the track would be cool to see just as a fun factor. It would be another aspect to make it more enjoyable for the people just watching. Youre at a track so you might as well utilize all of the technology thats there. Perhaps timeslips could be an option for more money from the racers....

The wetbox was there but if people would OBSERVE there were cones in between the boxes to avoid the water. But aloto of people didnt see it or neglected to take that simple turn....anyways I had a good ole time.

The only thing I would change is the stunt bikers. It was cool but they kept doing the same crap over and over. If they had more people from their crew to just drag race that would be cool.

All in all I cant wait till the next one...maybe Ill bring the Teg!

When is the next event? I will be there whenever it is and it will probably be my first time running the 1320. I personally dont care for the water box (gotta love that AWD) but I would like to know what my times are. I can also see that it would cost alot more to give out the slips etc...but why not just throw it on the board? does that involve alot more manpower?

Yes to all of the above except the trailored cars. You cant tell me that you have not been out at a local spot and not seen trailored cars. It does break up the rather boring atmosphere as 91TegLS mentioned earlier. One 4 banger after another does get rather boring. The trailored cars are so much more fun to watch and listen too sorry.

Alan called yesterday and said they will release the next date soon. I really doubt that they will use the board because you will chase away the true street racers. I would imagine you would see timeslips before the board because it is more private but you never know ! :smirk:

My opinion about Trailer queens if you cant drive it to the track then dont bring it. This is a street event. I wont ever line up with one again because they are unsafe and can loose control at anytime. Do you really think those cars with parachutes drive on the streets for more than 5 miles? If you want to allow trailer queens to race then you might as well call it a late night T&T event and give everyone a tree and time slips. As for watching 4 bangers go down the track is boring yeah sometimes it is but look how many of them made it out. Probably 90% of the cars out there were 4 bangers and that is what they came to see. Im still waiting to see the faster street racers come out to one of these events. They werent there last time.

As for slicks I dont care. The torque happy people need them. Water box No!

Maybe if timeslips and/or board times were used more people might come. I know Ill be out...it was a good event overall. ADVERTISING is the key...What other boards is Club 1320 being pushed on? I guess pasing out flyers wouldnt hurt either. Id be willing to lend a hand if needed.

I somewhat agree with you on the trailored cars. If they are out right trailor queens then I do not want them there either but if they are cars that can be driven on the street but people just do not feel like using a 100 gallons of fuel to get it to the track I can understand why some people might trailor there cars. I was not trying to bash any of the four bangers I hope it did not look like that. They are definitley the majority of the crowd. I just would like to keep the variety up and letting in some of the trailored street legal cars will give some variety. You are right though I have not seen a lot of the real fast street racers. I wonder what can be done to get the word out to them. Thanks for the feedback.

How can you tell the difference unless you know the guy? Are you going to inspect everyones vehicle that is trailored in? Maybe next event you can have Alan have a valetbox/poll when people come and vote on things or create a poll on their website.

This is kind of important.

Even though you guys say That there is only a red light green light on the street you are wrong.

THe time it takes for someone to drop their hands is roughly equivalent to the triple yellow flash of a pro tree go.

Even that would help me much more then just a green light..

Maybe just the winners time gets posted on the board but nothing is printed ?? That way you will need to go to the track to get your real times and 60 information and Etc.. Just an idea..

But definatly no water definatly no pro tree
