Alright so i picked up a 02 f250 7.3 fx4..its got about 64k miles and is amazing..very glad with the purchase..6" lift with 37s..but i am in need of a few things..
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc180/jangler98/newbaby3.jpg

1.i need to go with a 4" turbo back but not sure of brand(maybe mbrp)
2.it has i believe a Superchip but the guy lost the programmer, so i need to get it re-flashed(may have to go to Ford)..thinking about going with TS Performance chip or Tony Wildman Chip.. 140+rwhp
3.Im thinking about re-gearing to a 4.30 cause i want better city mpg but also want to keep good interstate mpg. BUt would like to know if its worth the $1500+..will i get that much more mpg?
4. Eventually will go with a banks intercooler
5. It has an Airaid intake but may go with a AFE stage 2..

any other ideas or suggestions would be great!

Let me know what you guys think..any opinions would be GREAT! Thanks

you forgot one important step. the 4R100 that will take a dump with that 140 hp tune. You'll need to make a stop at Sun Coast Converters and have them build the transmission. You'll also want to keep a spare crank position sensor incase that one fails (common problem w/ the 7.3). You'll get a lot of miles out of that rig. I can say you will be much happier with the 7.3 then the 6.ohh no.

I'd spend my money on either a magnaflow or MBPR exhaust. Good air intake THEN a tune. Also a set of good gugage (boost, pyro, trans temp). TS makes a good tune but I think with a good trans, intake and exhaust you'll be VERY happy with the superchips.

ya..if i could only afford a suncoast tranny ($3500 i believe) i would buy 1 and stack some programmers..lol..but the good thing about the TS Performance is a 6 stage chip..anywhere from 50hp up to 140+..i wouldnt run the highest tune all the time..the truck makes pretty good power now with whatever set up is in it, unfortunately i have no idea..lol..cause the programmer was MIA..thanks for the info tho!

I agree with MoteCarlo31.

Just make sure you get some gauges, if you dont already have them. For all you know, you could be ruining your motor.

The only problem i hear with the 7.3L are trannys like he said. Also i havent heard much about TS but do know superchips are good.

I would do some research(like you are now) and see what combination people say are best. For instants, i hear more about MBRP when it comes to turbo diesels then anything else. But i hear more about magnaflow on gas v8's. But those are only people i talk to.

-my 2 cents-

-EDIT(added)-
I don't know much about what gearing is best because I havent messed with it yet. If you tow 24/7 (like me) i would put that into consideration when you do your gearing.

i appreciate all the opinions.. i am going to get a MBRP 4" turbo back..TS Performance Chip..4.30 gears..Banks intercooler system (when i can afford it),Suncoast Torque converter(when i can afford it), AFE stage 2( no rush cause i already have an Airraid)...

I got an SCT Xcal2 for sale, $250. Allows you to have custom tunes written from any notorious diesel shop. I have Innovative Diesels Xtreme street package on my Xcal3

Awesome programmer!!
