driving down 301 when i pass a corvette making a turn going my way. i slow down and wait to see if he catches up. the guy pulls up next to me and looks. i step on it and let go of the gasppshhhhhh!!! guy looks at me again and says why dont you take your 4clyinder home? i said are you ready to get beat by a 4clyinder? guy steps on it gets a little bit of a lead thats when i saw the paper tag on it. i was already in 2nd running at 4500rpm so i step on it he only managed to get half car lead 2nd ended pppshhhhh!! shift to 3rd start to pull up to him by the end of 3rd we were even pppshhhh! shift to 4th and i keep pulling on him i think i had about half a car on him and then nothing he had given up. i slow down and the guy never pulled up to me. i made a u turn and as he passed me he beeped. i bet i changed his opinion about 4clylinders. :):):)

your a liar---there is no way a four cylinder can beat a vette--- --the new vettes are slow--you need to race a stingray---thats a real mans vette---5000lbs and 200hp...can you contend????:D

5000lbs and 200hp... I think my skateboard can contend =) If not that then my 240 could. Thats a lot of weight and not much HP IMHO. I wonder if had the traction control enabled or disabled when he was racing... I know you cant raise RPMs and drop the clutch without it retarding timing if you do have it activated (its good in the rain not so good on the street). Once again Ill give the yuppie the benefit of the doubt that he was a moron and it wasnt the corvettes fault. Nice kill though Id HATE to be that driver. Always talk smack AFTER you win its safer that way.

if you actualy have a vette with some power which my very good friend dean has then the traction control is just a pretty button.

How did stingray vettes end up in this thread? LOL I had no clue they were that slow. Might be mistaken for a mustang. ;) LOL
