Much to my distaste I was driving through Brandon the other day when I came across a fairly nice looking stingray corvette. Looked clean and it sounded pretty loud so I figured he had to have done some sort of work to it. As traffic gave way I slowly passed him to see a young blonde haired kid driving it and his buddy in tow. I passed them to continue on my way when they swerved around another car and blew by me. Okay kid...ITS ON! I followed him for a bit until we matched at a light. Before we got to the light I noticed it was an automatic. LOL Figured he would get me on the launch and probably beat me but oh well...all in fun! At any rate we came to a light and he pulled into the next lane so we could line it up started reving and waited for the light to turn green. A single drop of sweat fell from my brow as I clentched the steering wheel.... The light turned green and we were off! What was once the little stingray that could quickly became the little stingray that couldnt! LMAO! I wasted his ass so bad that I couldnt believe he had wanted to race in the first place. As always I slowed down and he flew by my at which point I over took him again only to embarrass him even further. Nice try kid....but your corvette is slow. Better luck next time! LMAO!

Was it silver or yellow? The two that I know of that are in pretty decent shape both took the HF challenge here in Brandon and got walked as well. The silver one actually lives here in my complex and has some wire looking wheels on it. He always revs at the Lemon Drop but after getting smacked across the face with my beater I doubt he wants any.

Weird factoid: in 1975 the Corvette only had 150 flywheel hp! It didnt get much better from 76-80. Pathetic if you ask me. My favorite Corvettes to beat are the Crossfire Injected ones. :) 1.5L vs. 5.7L? Bwhahahaaa!!! Keep laying the smack down on the discovettes Adam.

Its all about smacking down vettes....I once laid the smackdown on an old l-48 vette on kennedy....he didnt even finish up and talk afterwords he bolted like a little bitch...and now this asshole I know bought a 76 and he thinks its the fastest shit on earth....I told him to come out on any saturday night and bring a couple hundred bucks (I was that tired of listening to him) and what do you know....so far he hasnt showed.....imagine that.

good kill--all of the stingrays ive encountered have been very slow---i think their quarter times are in the same ballpark as a hummer...

OO oo!! Red collect the whole set! I think he goes out to the Lowes carshow on Wed night. Time to slap a new set of pads on the CRiX and collect another DiscoVette.
