Bad day off roading today.

Well the day started off great with a day full of dirtbiking and wheelin the truck when I first got out there. Then later in the day I took the truck out one more time before we left and I sank it in a deep hole. Basically it was the approach angle I took. I had already hit the same hole numerous times today but the last time I came in a from a different angle and the truck got stuck.

All was well untill I heard the sound of water entering my fucking cab. Had a jacked up excursion pull me out. I just spent the last 8hrs straight removing the front and rear seats, console, floor AC system, carpet etc.

I still have more work to do tomorrow as I need to be thorough and make sure I dont miss anything or Ill get mildew. Then reinstall the whole interior and get the truck professionaly detailed inside and out. Then I need to flush my tranny fluid, rear diff, front diff, motor oil and she'll be good as new.

BTW dont do the same mistake as me, stay out of the water. it sucks ass.......:mad:

And unfortunately is was all caught on film so i can relive this crappy experience over and over, Ill make a vid of it with some aftermath and before and after cleaning sometime later this week and post it.

Dude I wont be out there for awhile! I just sank my truck. Its going to cost me 100's $$ in fluids, detailing, and countless hrs of work to get it back to normal. But there is always people out there on the weekends so id go then if i were you.

Vacuum it out real good and put one of these in it for a few nights.

Thanks for the link on the dehumidifier, right now I had 4 buckets of damp-rid stay in it over night. Im gonna go head out now in another car and buy that, and some midlew preventive spray and some motor oil. Ill have ford flush the tranny and diffs tomorrow when its put back together. I wont have time to do it myself with that damn storm moving in. Great MORE humidity.......

update-

Finally got the carpet out by taking out the rear seatbelt bolts, its been pressure washed and cleaned and its dry now(florida sun) I cleaned EVERYTHING and water sealed everything. I used some DampRid Mold and mildew blocker. Now Im goin back out there to reinstall everything. Then Ill change the oil, wash the ext.

Goin to Ford tomorrow to get the tranny and diffs changed. Then a professional detail after the hurricane hits and she'll be better than before.

Ok guys, at 24hrs later the truck is perfect and back to normal. i cant explain what a pain in the ass this was. I worked non-stop on this. Stripped it down to nothing and cleaned and sanitized, and mold blocked and re assembled everything to a "T". Its perfect, tomorrow the ext is getting washed and ill change ALL the fluids and its getting detailed for shits after the hurricane. ill post a vid after i edit one up tomorrow.-Adam

put a bigger lift..gears/lockers..tires..and a snorkel..and you wont have that problem anymore..lol..that sucks bro, i could def have some fun in my TJ out there

Looks like you got out of the throttle when you got stuck:dunno: . There was no water or mud being slung or looking like it was being moved.

I was on the throttle the whole time. I had came accross the ruts I had made all day and they slowed me down to much. Not to mention all the gunk in my transfer case fucked me. The truck wouldnt fully engauge in 4low. The rear of the frame was sitting on the bottom of that hole, like I was dredging a canal. I'm staying away from the water........

It got much worse than this.... the recovery landed me in a six foot deep hole that flooded the inside arm-pit deep..... stupid is expensive.
