ATTN TR.com autocross day 9th Sept.

All members are invited to attend the first offical Tampa Racing autocross. The event will take place on the 9th of September at the Florida Fairgrounds and will be sponsored by the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America). There will be a $25 participation fee but there will be no fee for spectators. To run you must be at the fairgrounds BY 9:30 for tech inspection. If you arrive later than that you WILL be a spectator.
You will get around 4 chances to race the course during the day and if time permits you will be able to race a few additional times during the fun runs. For more information on the event follow this link: http://www.eec.com/racing/Flyers2001/0909fsf.pdf
Please post if you will be attending the event and if you have any questions. This event will give you a chance to meet fellow members and test the limits of both your car and driving skill.

If you are unfamiliar with autocross events you can find out information about the sport (basically racing around a set course at moderate to low speeds) at www.autocross.com.

Thanks for reminding me I forgot to post that. Youve gotta be there by 9:30 or else you wont be able to run. Sounds early but its not that bad. The event will probably end around 4 or 5 depending on the amount of people that show up.

Glad to see all of the people willing to autocross. This should be a good turn out. When you get to the fairgrounds on Sunday morning look for a dark green civic coupe a grey miata and a blue WRX. Park around us we should have a cooler full of drinks and shit if all goes as planned.
