alright guys.. for those of you who know me (im sure a few of you do) im trying to sell my thunderbird and ive recently gotten myself into a litle 1.5L 998 protege.. now my problem is.. today at work, i was giving it a tuneup since there were no other cars for me to work on, while replacing the plugs i noticed that the plug in cyl#2 was covered in oil.. which tells me my valve seals are long gone.. what i want to know is.. is blowing valve seals a common problem on the DOHC 1.5L 4banger's?

also i just replaced both front half shafts.. and now the passenger side CV joint desides to break on me.. what gets me is this car has no power what so ever, which makes me think "how the hell did i break a brand new CV joint?!?":overkill:..

any input on these would be greatly appreciated guys

autozone axels will break /w 50hp to the wheels (just dependes if u get lucky or not) New is the way to go /w axels or if u get lucky and find a good factory 1 from the JY. And as for the VC seal i wouldnt call it "common" for them to leak maybe /w age and unproper maintance but whats the worry there only like $20 anyway
