What is wrong with people?

So today I walk out to my car and find out that some jackass hit it. They hit the bumper and took some paint off and left some very deep scratches. At least the bumper isn't cracked, but it's still frustrating. And of course, there was no note left. Assholes...:mad::mad:

It looks worse in person, but you get the idea.

yeah those people suck. but if i saw the person that hit my spec v while i was in walmart, i would actually thank him. i was so pissed that day when i saw the dented bumper, i traded the car in for my sti lol.

sucks, but lucky it wasnt worse i guess.... ive seen a few scratches and scrapes pop up out of nowhere on my car, but i try to just ignore them.

Yeah, definitely could be worse. Cheaper to just repaint than to replace the whole bumper I guess...just REALLY irritating.

I feel your pain... Your car actually matchs my STI now... I actually just more or less said "F" it and moved on, because you could hardly see it if you aren't looking for it. The mark is in the EXACT same spot though.

My car just looks a little more WRC now.

that sux. i kno it doesnt look bad at all, but that kind of shit just pisses you off. i got a tiny door ding that you have to stare at to find but it still irritates me everyday i open my door to sit inside of it.

Well my friend does wet sanding and has fixed many scratches/chips on his so I'm going to buy some paint and hopefully he can fix it or at least make it less noticeable. It doesn't look that bad in the picture but it is very apparent in person. Pisses me off. Plus it's on the driver's side so I see it everyday.

let us know how it turns out... touch up work can be very difficult and often doesn't turn out all that great, so I hope you don't wind up having to repaint :( Hey, if nothing else, that color matching wax from Turtle Wax (get the blue one, lol) really works pretty well to mask chips. You've just got to keep it waxed after that...

People, in general, are fucking idiots. I watched some lady rub her door on my car while she was digging her fat ass around for something. When I said something, she was like "So?" They have no respect. I can see how some people snap and go crazy over small shit. It just all builds up.

Thankfully her door had the rubber guards on the edges or I would have probably stabbed her face-wise.

When my friend did his car it came out fantastic. Granted, mine is worse, but as long as it looks better. I really don't have the money to repaint the whole bumper right now.

Wow, that made my blood boil and it wasn't even my car. I don't understand how people are just so rude and careless when it comes to other people's belongings. It's one thing to fuck up your own shit but it's completely different when you mess with someone else's stuff.

Agreed. Do pursue that Turtle Wax option, as it really can help. If nothing else, I have a little trick (I don't think I invented it per se, but no one showed it to me, lol).

Take green painters tape (usually used for striping, and narrower than blue painters tape) and tape off perfectly around the scratches. It's a painstaking, one-at-a-time process, but once you've got it taped off, go over it with one pass of the touch up brush or airbrush. If you did it right, you'll be able to fill the scratch well without getting ugly buildup on top of the paint. Let it dry, peel the tape, start the next scratch.

That sucks, something very simular happened to me yesterday, went to orlando, and when I got back into tampa got out the car when I got to the bank noticed my front bumper was cracked on side with some white paint on it guessing some asshole hit it when I went inside to pay for gas before I headed back into tampa at the hess station next to uti, so I spent some time touching it up last night, might be time for a plastic oem s15 bumper for me im sick of this fiberglass crap.. But yeah no note or anything of course.
