Problem with the 240
Okay so this has been going on for the passed two weeks and maybe someone can think of something.
Okay so I Have a 91 240 ka and a couple of weeks ago I started it up leaving work and it was running on 3 cylindors out of no where. Had no signs of anything before. So found out it was getting compression and fuel but no fuel in cylindor #2.....so I started the process of elimination. replaced plugs and wires, then cap, rotor and finally distributor....and manually timed it. still not the problem. so finally I didn't have anymore ideas so I took it to a shop. said it was a fuel injector....replaced that. Started running fine was running on a low idle but would stay running. So I figured I would just hit it with a timing light later on. So I drove it up to the store and went to go start it back up and wouldn't start. Would turn over like it was going to start but didnt. Finally got it starting for a little bit to get it on the tow truck and was running very rough and you could smell alot of full.
So I think I could just be the timing needs to be redone and that would solve the problem. I think the timing is really off and that its dumping the fuel in at the wrong time and thats why you smell fuel. what do you guys think? Because other than that im out of ideas.

My car did the same exact thing right before i blew my head gasket. Smell the exhaust and if it smells like straight gas you may have detonated a cylinder like i did. When i pulled my motor there was actually gas dripping from my header lol. I say do NOT drive it until the problem is fixed or else your gonna end up with a blown motor and out of a car for a month while you rebuild it like me.
Yeah that wont be a problem since it wont start.

interesting problem..just keep with process of elimination test the cylinders again.. and check fuel rail aswell... if one went bad its very possible the others will to. and its prolly ran rough bcuz 2 cylinders werent getting fuel.. not just one. so replace injectors n double check fuel rail... let us know.. keep the driving to a minimum if any...good luck.
