recently moved to Seminole, from Charlotte NC
Well i'm new to the bay area and had been whati thought was done with the racing scene and now drive a crappy kia that i bought to keep myself out of trouble, but i am catching the bug again and begining to save money for something fun. I use to own a 92 civic hatch (vx) with a greddy turbo kit, blew up the d15 and threw in a Z6 i built with eagle rods and vitara pistons, never had it on dyno so i dunno how much power it was making but I ran 12.7 spinning terribly at Rockingham dragway in NC, dont remember the trap speed (this was several years ago). If anyone knows the Charlotte NC area they prolly know me, I worked at Carolina Performance Racing (CPRace) for quite a while.
I hope to get to know some people around the area and after i get some money together get myself a new boosted toy. I'm not the best at diagnosing problems but am willing to help on turbo or engine building projects when i have some free time from work and school.

welcome to TR . while you are bored with the Kia come out to an autox and throw it through a few corners . for events check out our Autocross forum here on TR

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

i live near seminole mall, autocross sounds kinda fun. My dad lives in concord now, mostly just a buch of slow hillbillys with the exception of the speed innovations/rlz guys up there, south charlotte use to have a good bit of people meeting up but nothing like I have seen here, the roads arent quite as straight up there eaither.

Hmm, you live about 2-3 minutes away from me, I live across the way from the entrance to Seminole Lake Park. You've probably seen me I drive a black 1993 Rx-7 another guy I know drives the same kind of car but in Montego blue. anyway, this forum is huge and you can always find something to do. I know there is a big autox event the 20th good way to get to start to know people around here.
