Not a chance... smoked him.

As a matter of fact about 3 cars ago I owned the 3.4 Lumina coupe and it was nice and had lots of torque but really wasnt all that fast even though it felt otherwise. I guess that was this guys issue never seen a track so he didnt know... :-)

The story:

Going to work this morning heading north on highland I came upon the Cleveland light where highland goes to 2 lanes for a short while and then merges shortly afterwards. The line at the light sucked so I do what I usually do I headed for the left lane which merges right after the light so I can gain about 10 cars... I pull up to the line and there is this blue lumina with dark tint and a 10HP chrome tip on the exhaust. The turn signal turned green and he started inching forward a definate signal to race. So I sat still and after he inched forward to the point where the front of my car was merely halfway beside him the light turned. I launched cleanly no wheel spin (first time for completely none on a fast launch). By the time I hit 7800 and shifted to 2nd I looked back and realized that I smoked him so bad he was at least a good 4-5 car lengths behind me before I even was thinking of merging. :-)

Of course at the next redlight he was behind me and doing that lame punkass ride my ass shit... In my klunker I would have slammed the breaks but in this one I opted for the fast pull away... sorry ass loser. When you loose have a good attitude or dont race anyone.

I knew that... but honestly it was my first challenge since I bought the car over a month ago. I couldnt pass it up... I probaly could have just cruised at normal pace and at least beat him to the merge.. but I had to see if I could launch when challenged. Really clearwater sux for races noone seems to want to challenge me at the lights... :-(

I take what I can get... I am heading to Orlando this weekend so I am sure Ill get challenges along the way... ;-) I-4 is known for that...

you werent wrong for racing him---ill smoke grandma in her station wagon if shes askin for it---but anyway you never know ---he could of smoked you---never judge a book by its cover--and never judge a car by its looks or sound....
