do evo's have boost problems?

i've got an evo8 and my only upgrades are an intake, and a greddy types s bov. for some reason it spikes boost at 17psi. when i first got it a year ago, it was doing 19-20psi on a stock mr bov. i switched back to the stock one for a while to see if that was the problem in the pressure drop. but it gave me the same reading as the greddy. what should i do?

You most likly have a boost leak. You need to do a boost leak test and see if there is a leak.
