car problem?

Default car problem?

ok well it was raining yesterday and gandy was way backed up so i toke a detour on a back road and it was flooded i thought it wasn't that deep so i drove threw it like a dumb ass and i have a ford probe and it is kinda low to the ground so the water was up to my door and i know the bottom of my car was in water then my car started to not want to go any were so when ever i start my car up no matter if its hot or cold and put it in drive the car feels like its going to stall and i feel it under me shaking so i really think its the tranny what is every one else's thoughts plus i have broken seals that need to replaced in my tranny as well

If it's an auto, replace it because it's going to die soon anyways.

Does the car actually start and idle okay?

^ yes it does but when i put it in drive and with my foot on the break engine feels like it jerks around i dont know what water could have got into

Your goose is cooked, my friend.

I'd call up a junk yard, you can probably get another longblock pretty cheap. Hell you could probably find the Japanese spec engine with a bit more power for under $1000.

If it is an automatic, then the tranny is dead..
I'm doubting it is the motor because it runs fine before you put it in gear...
but it can't hurt to check.
make sure the oil looks good. If it has any sort of milky tint to it, it has water in it and your motor is done.
then, do a compression check. That'll tell you what up...

ok well i changed my mind bout the transmission because i started it and it started doing it for a lil while then i put it in gear and drove down the road and it didnt do it at all this time so i think i have a cracked spark plug wire
