Default Rider Down - RIP - John Edward D'Angelo

St. Petersburg motorcyclist dies in crash

A motorcyclist died after crashing into a guardrail near Seminole Boulevard and Bay Pines Boulevard shortly before midnight Sunday, authorities said.

John Edward D'Angelo, 41, of St. Petersburg died Monday morning at Bayfront Medical Center, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said a deputy saw D'Angelo driving his motorcycle at a high rate of speed on Seminole Boulevard southbound and tried to pull him over. D'Angelo slowed down as if to stop before making a U-turn. The deputy followed and found the crash on the ramp to Bay Pines Boulevard. No one else was injured.

D'Angelo, who was wearing a helmet, died shortly after 5 a.m. Monday.

One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

He could just taken the ticket and survived. O well, his own stupidity.

This is the second death in a week running from a simple ticket... I guess some people learn the hard way and others just never learn. The other incident was two kids that got lit up, one pulled over and took the ticket (DUI if I remember correctly), the other ran and ended up pancaked on the back of an 18 wheeler. At least neither took anyone else with them.

Wait till October, we should at least a dozen of these within a days time.

R.I.P. to all fellow riders.
