Default 2009 Cadillac CTS-V Puts out 556 horsepower

2009 Cadillac CTS-V Officially Puts out 556 Horsepower (The Torque Report)

Straightline - Official specs: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V makes 556 horsepower

When the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V was unveiled earlier this year, Cadillac estimated its final output at 550 horsepower, but now it is confirmed and the car actually produces 556 horsepower.

The 2009 CTS-V is powered by a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine that puts out 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft. of torque. Cadillac claims that the car will reach 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and the quarter mile in 12 seconds flat. The top speed when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission is limited to 175 mph and the six-speed manual is capable of reaching 191 mph.

FYI... i believe this car has the same motor as the ZR1 minus a few, more costly internals/components...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LS9#LS9

The supercharged 6.2 L LSA is similar to the LS9 and scheduled to debut in the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. Producing an estimated 550 hp (410 kW) of power and 550 ft·lbf (745 N·m) of torque, the LSA features a smaller 1.9 L capacity supercharger rather than the 2.3 L variant of the LS9. Other differences include a slightly lower 9.0:1 compression ratio, single unit heat exchanger and cast pistons.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

i want that car, plus it will be a performance bargain versus the competition (supposed to be in the 50s to low 60s)
